Nissan Patrol for Digicel Stars winner

Digicel PNG has announced the return of its talent competition Digicel Stars last month and is now delighted to announce its partnership with Boroko Motors.

The winner of the Digicel Stars talent competition will be driving away in a brand new Nissan Patrol, custom built Ironman 4x4 series from Boroko Motors.

Announcing the partnership, Digicel PNG Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer, Lorna McPherson, said: “We are extremely proud that one of PNG’s leading car dealers, Boroko Motors, has come on board to support the Digicel Stars talent competition, a platform that is set to discover and reward talented Papua New Guineans.

“The competition is bigger and better this year now with the inclusion of a variety of talents including singers, dancers, comedians, magicians, actors and even fire eaters and more.

“We encourage any talented Papua New Guineans, 18 years of age and over, to come participate at the live auditions in their centres.”

McPherson added: “Special thanks to Boroko Motors for committing a high quality brand new vehicle as the major prize. The Nissan Patrol Ironman 4x4 is conducive and fitting for travelling across PNG and this is definitely a prize worth stepping out and showcasing your talent for.

WR Carpenters CEO, John Mangos, said PNG is a country filled with many different talents and they were delighted to be a part of a platform that provides Papua New Guineans with the opportunity to show the country and the world what they have to offer.

“From our range of 4x4s we have made the decision to give away a Nissan Patrol Ironman to the winner of the Digicel Stars competition. The Ironman is currently one of the most sought out vehicles in the PNG market. It is a popular, tough vehicle that is ideal for travelling on PNG roads and across the country’s rugged terrains and we hope this prize is rewarding to the final winner.”

The Digicel Stars Talent Season 1 Live Auditions are set to commence starting this Saturday, October 12, in Buka at Club Oasis, followed by more live auditions through to November.
