Sepik MPs support O'Neill to remain as PM

The people of East Sepik Province have fully supported Peter O’Neill to remain as Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea.

This is evident when all their Members of Parliament voted for O’Neill during a Vote of No Confidence held last Friday.

The support by all MP’s of East Sepik Province for Prime Minister O’Neill signals a new beginning for East Sepik Province as the people are looking to PM O’Neill and this current Government to finally bring in much needed developments for East Sepik Province after over 40 years of wondering in the wilderness.

Taim blo Sepik long kaikai bun i pinis. We are now the “Joshua Generation” and on the record of this Government over the last 4 years in bringing unprecedented development to the Province and our rural areas through the PSIP and DSIP and their free school fee and free health policy, our people were right behind the O’Neill/Dion Government,” said the Minister for Trade, Commerce and Industry and local Member for Yangoru Saussia, Richard Maru.

A big welcome celebration are being planned when the PM and his entourage arrive in Yangoru to launch the first of its kind Sepik Chicken, Grain and Cocoa Innovation project to be developed in the Sepik Plains Special Economic Zone.

Members of Parliament from East Sepik Province have been invited to attend the program and a massive crowd consisting of people all over East Sepik Province are expected to converge to Yangoru Station to welcome the Prime Minister and celebrate his victory as well as to witness other milestone projects that the Prime Minister will also launch apart from the Sepik Chicken, Grain and Cocoa Innovation project.

Meanwhile, transport is being arranged to bring people all over East Sepik Province to Yangoru Station.
