Provincial Affairs launch 2014-2017 Corporate Plan

The Department of Provincial and Local Level Government Affairs (DPLGA) today launched their 2014-2017 Corporate Plan.

Standing in on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister responsible Leo Dion, Vice Minister Joe Sungi officially launched the plan.

Sungi thanked the Department’s Secretary Dickson Guina for progressing this important document and assured him that he will be giving his full support to realising the achievements of the key strategic results areas in the Corporate Plan.

He said the Corporate Plan is more outward looking and in line with the current government focus on empowering provinces, districts and LLGs.

Meanwhile, Guina said through this revised corporate plan, DPLGA has realigned core functions, programs, activities and resources to meet its objectives for the next four years.

“In the long term, it will be our contribution to the achievement of the PNG Strategic Development Plan and most importantly Pillar 3 of Vision 2050.

“Through this Corporate Plan, we are making our commitment to do our part in meeting the government’s policy expectations to coordinate implementation for improved service delivery in provinces, districts and LLGs,” says Guina.
