The political tussle in Hela will not affect the PNG LNG project in the province, says Komo-Margarima MP Francis Potape.
He said the LNG project is the Hela people’s baby.
He said what other leaders of the country have alluded to about the project, especially given the current situation is not true.
“The PNG LNG project is in safe hands and the political tussle between the leaders will not affect the project,” says Potape.
Potape said he is the MP representing the people of Komo-Margarima where the LNG project is situated and assured the country that the project is in safe hands.
He added that the project is well protected and being looked after by the Hela people.
He stressed that when it comes to leadership in protecting resources, especially the LNG project, there is no need to panic as Hela leaders always make it their priority in looking after such resources.
Potape is calling on the developers not to panic about the project as the political tussle won’t affect the project.
