PNG prepares for kickboxing games in Spain

Papua New Guinea Kickboxing Federation (PNGKF) has set its goal to compete at the 2016 World Kickboxing Association Unified Championships in Europe later this year.

The Championships will be held at Italy from 25-30 October.

PNGKF president Stanley Nandex said they aim to compete and produce world champions for PNG in the unified world.

The federation has announced the 65 selected fighters including 12 females as the train on squad for the tournament following the 2015 national titles.

The federation noted previously that the size of the team will depend on funding.

The Championships will attract more than 105 countries including 12 different martial arts and kickboxing bodies to compete in this event.
