Oldtimers reunion takes precedence for Kemabolo

Finals for the Kemabolo Rugby Football League (KRFL) competition have been deferred to next month.

KRFLpresident Lega Kikima explained that this is due to the upcoming community commitment to the KRFL reunion games during the festive season.

“The 26th of December is committed for the KRFL rugby reunion games. The reunion will see about two hundred players taking part. There will be a presentation to all surviving original KRFL rugby league players,” said Kikima.

He said the rugby finals for the normal KRFL compeition will start on the 2nd of January with the grand final to be played on the 9th.

He said club officials agreed to focus on the Rugby Reunion.

“Kemabolo Rugby League is 45years old with most of its original players having passed away.

“This is going to be a special occasion for the community as we will be remembering our fore fathers who have constructed our field and introduced rugby league through the past years,” said Kikima.

He finished by asking the community to come along during the festive season and new year to witness the games as well as interested sponsors or interested leagues to come along.
