Nurses at Kimbe busy with babies

Rain was evident in West New Britain during the festive season but nurses at the Maternity Ward at Kimbe General Hospital were busy delivering babies.

Nine babies including fraternal twins were born at the hospital.

Five were boys and 4 girls.  The new born babies and their mothers are safe.

A couple from Kandrian on the south coast of the province had the heaviest baby born, a girl weighing 3.8kg.

With the Christmas and New Year’s births, nurses recorded a total of 21 babies born on Christmas and New Year’s Days.
