Muthuvel aids churches in WNB

Churches are one of the key priority areas for West New Britain Governor Sasindran Muthuvel.

Muthuvel said churches play an important role in the society we live in.

In supporting his vision for the churches, Muthuvel recently presented K50, 000 to Turuk Catholic church from the Provincial Services Improvement Programme (PSIP) to renovate their church buildings.

"When the mind and speech unite in earnestly asking for a thing, that prayer is answered.”

“How the saline waters of the ocean, contaminated drains, stagnant lakes from anywhere, evaporates into the above and comes down as rain, it becomes a pure water to drink.”

“Similarly when we connect with the force above, our self-purification starts, our thoughts are purified when we connect to the supreme force.”

“When our prayers go up, blessings come down,” Muthuvel said.

Muthuvel has helped various churches including Apugi, Aviglo, (both Catholic and Anglican churches) Aka, Laurin, Pomugu, Guhi, Kilenge and Sagsag Anglican.

He said all the faith based organizations within the province will continue to receive support from the provincial government and we look forward to working in partnership with them as they serve the rural majority in terms of health and Education.

“Their service is valuable and immeasurable.”

Muthuvel has also pledged K20, 000 worth of building materials to support the Kaimega (Isu) and Vese SDA church building in Kove, Kaliai LLG.

He also welcomed the idea of various church leaders wanting to build permanent buildings for their place of worship as spiritual education is important to keep the society in harmony.
