Madang PG buys vehicles for education sector

Madang Provincial Administration has purchased six ten seater landcruisers and presented to each District Education sector in Madang Provincial Headquarters today.

Madang Provincial Administrator Daniel Aloi said other sectors like Health,  have received theirs but Education today receiving  theirs marks the start of a new beginning for the Education sector in the province.

Mr Aloi said the vehicles cost K140, 000 each and were purchased by the Provincial Administration at a total cost of K700,000 at Ela Motors.

“ Today marks the start of a new style of driving education in the province, with these vehicles it will help each of the districts to be motivated and do more for education so that the children will be educated to sustain their lives in the future,”

This is not a free gift, it’s a gift that comes with responsibility for you to make your work easy without fear or favour to ensure those rural people see and feel education services,” Mr Aloi said.

He said each district now has an Education vehicle to drive education works in the district and wants this to be a motivating factor for them to do their job.

Madang Provincial Education Advisor Mosses Sariki thanked the Provincial Administration under the leadership of Daniel Aloi for recognising Education in the province.

Mr Sariki said those vehicles will be used by District Education officers in Middle Ramu, Rai Coast, Madang, Usino Bundi, Sumkar and Bogia to take education to another level.

Middle Ramu District Education Administrator James Jigure was in heap of praises when sitting in the new landcruiser testing it on the road with his officer giving a smile of happiness.

Mr Jigure said finally his work will be easy, travelling to and from Middle Ramu doing education work.

He said life seemed easy when you have vehicles to do your work and make it on time and with this vehicle his burden will be eased.

He said that most of his life serving in Middle Ramu was not easy, travelling up and down and climbing mountains and crossing rivers to bring education to the children.

Mr Jigure thanked Madang Provincial Administration for purchasing the vehicles and handing  it to the education sector in Middle Ramu.

He said he will take care of the vehicles and use it for education work only and urged others to do the same.
