Schools win computers

Owning a full set desk-top computer is a luxury that most or all public primary schools nationwide are unable to afford and receiving one freely is rare.

4 lucky Primary Schools in the country are lucky winners of brand new computer sets.

New Erima Primary School in Port Moresby is one of 4 lucky winners under the Colgate Palmolive Back to school redemption promotion.

The promotion saw over 200 schools participate with 96 000 entries.

Schools collected empty packs of any Colgate and Protex products to enter the competition.

Head Teacher of New Erima Primary School Yalo Kipungi expressed delight in been announced the winning school for Southern Region.

Mr Kipungi said the desk-top computer will help in the administration operations of the school.

With more than 2 500 students, been announced winners is a timely gift.

Other winning schools include;

•             Moem Barracks Primary School for Momase Region

•             Mt Hagen Tee Primary School for the Highlands Region; and

•             Winning school for the New Guinea Islands Region went to Kavieng’s Rawal Primary School.

The Back to School redemption program is alos in line with Colgate’s yearlong health educational programs conducted in schools nationwide.
