Gordons Market still under construction

Renovations are continuing smoothly at the new Gordons market.

Loop PNG has observed construction workers hard at work clearing up what was left of the rotting buildings and vending spaces.

The renovation and refurbishment will be a boost for the city residents as it will be upgraded from what is was before to housing a two storey structure.

This will also include an extension of the old market area to cater for more vendors of fresh produce.

In a recent conversation with the NCDC market planning and contract supervisor, Rex Kuman, he says that the market will at least take a year and half to be fully completed to its new state.

Kuman says that the market will be able to cater for up to more than 500 vendors with proper facilities and vending space allocations.
