BSP to provide home loan guidance at expo

Going through any Home Loan Process can be challenging, especially when it is your first time to purchase a property.

BSP General Manager – Retail, Paul Thornton, expressed this when announcing the newly reduced BSP Standard Home Loan rates from 7.45 percent pa to 6.50 percent pa.

Thornton encouraged potential home buyers to start planning and look at options available on house and land packages, or houses on sale.

“Owning a house or property is not only a good investment, it gives you security, a stable place for your family and the freedom to build a home that you can call your own.

“The Home & Car Expo 2019 scheduled from Friday 21st to Saturday 22nd June, 2019, in Port Moresby, is an opportunity for customers and/or potential home buyers to seek more information from BSP as you may one day take that journey towards buying or building a house for you and your family.”

As a Diamond Sponsor of the event with over K49,000, BSP has two exhibition booths with staff who will be there to assist customers with all their home loan queries and also do pre-assessment on home loans.

BSP has recently reduced its Standard Home Loan interest rates from 7.45 percent pa to 6.50 percent pa effective as of May 2019 and customers can talk to staff at the expo to seek guidance on obtaining a Standard Home Loan.

Attendees of the expo can also talk to the BSP staff about the BSP First Home Ownership Loan which has a notational repayment term of 40 years and interest rate of 4 percent pa.

“The Home & Car Expo is an opportunity to not only talk to our BSP staff but to get additional information from the developers, real estate industry and other associated industries aligned to building or home sale,” said Thornton.

Organisations can also invite the BSP Lending Team to visit their offices or events to conduct product information sessions to inform their staff about the BSP Home Loan products or other products and services.

BSP has a Banking Education section that provides information sessions, including financial literacy, to respective communities or organisations.
