"I'm a goose," said Phipps, when he fronted reporters on Tuesday, after the story broke. "If I'm going to do the crime, I'll pay the time.
"It's always been in my character to stand up and accept the responsibility, I was a bloody idiot."
Dressed in a cow suit, Phipps was kicked out of Sydney's Woollahra Hotel on Saturday, April 21 for an incident he said he had little memory of.
The incident occurred a day after he played in the NSW Waratahs' 29-0 Super Rugby home loss to the Lions and reportedly followed a harbour cruise to celebrate his impending wedding.
