Watch Dogs all set for Ipatas Cup

The Okuk Watch Dogs are ready to attack with their eyes fixed on the one golden pass up for grabs at the NCD leg of the 2018 Coca-Cola Ipatas Cup.

Sponsored by businessman Carl Okuk for the third consecutive year, the Watch Dogs were yesterday presented with a new set of uniforms and training gear worth over K5,000.

“On behalf of my husband and my two boys, we’re proud to continue to be sponsors of the team and wish you all the best,” said wife Esther Okuk.

Captain of the Watch Dogs, Kelly Billy, said he has trust and faith in the boys and believes they can go one step further this time around after being knocked out in the semi-finals last year.

Club president Seka Izakue thanked club patron, Carl and his wife Esther, for continuing to back the team, which continues to do better every year.

He said another boost to the team is the addition of former Bintangor Goroka Lahanis halfback, Walter Hasu, who will guide the Watch Dogs around the park.

“The boys are hungry and ready to go,” said Izakue.

The NCD leg of the 2018 Coca-Cola Ipatas Cup kicks off tomorrow at the Kone Tigers Oval.

16 teams have confirmed their participation.

The final will be held this Sunday.
