Ruling on Unitech student’s murder next month

The three University of Technology students involved in the alleged wilful murder of fellow student Graham Romanong will appear in the National Court on November 7 for a ruling on their bail application.

The three Lawrence Simon, 23 of Sakales village, Wabag, Lorry Paul, 23 of Lanakep village, Wabag and Gideon Luio, 21 of Kaikin village Wapenamanda appeared before Principal Magistrate Jeremiah Singomat at Lae’s committal court today (Friday).

An earlier bail application was struck out in the National Court.

Their reasons for a review of their bail application was they wanted to go back to studies while attending to future court proceedings.

The three were alleged to have been involved in the killing of the late Romanong on June 25 at Unitech following continuous unrest at the campus.

The three have been remanded at the Buimo Prison.
