Officers need public to help capture Giligili escapees

Correctional Service officers are calling on people in Milne Bay to help them locate the five escapees from Giligili correctional holding cell.

CS Commissioner Michael Waipo tells Loop PNG that the investigation team sent down to the area will need to establish what happened during the April 3rd escape.

The escapees Tommy Baker Maeva, 31, of Rabaraba, Milne Bay mix Kerema, was initially held on allegations of armed robbery, wilful murder and attempted murder.

The second escapee was Benjamin Kaudoga, 22, of Woodlark Island. He was detained on charges of armed robbery.

Whilst 21-year-old Hewston Sebastian Sadoka from Daio, Alotau, was held on the alleged offense of wilful murder, Jerry Enai Peter, 33, from Rabe Alotau, was held for sexual penetration allegations and Michael Charles Danaya of Rabaraba who was held for allegations of wilful murder.

At the time of their escape, all five were national court remandees.
