New CEO for Tambul-Nebilyer

Tambul-Nebilyer District will now have a new chief executive officer.

He is Philip Talpa, former deputy director of Rural District Health Services of the Western Highlands Provincial Health Authority.

Yesterday, a brief handover take-over ceremony was held at McRoyals Hotel in Mt Hagen with outgoing CEO Douglas Lingawa.

Outgoing CEO Lingawa said he served the district for 21 years and is happy to vacate the public office with peace.

“I am at peace to hand over the leadership to Philip, he has been the Administrator before, we made a first hand over and take over ceremony and this is the second time,” Lingawa said.

The outgoing CEO further stated that the decision he made is for the good of his personal life, his family, tribe and for the people of Tambul-Nebilyer to see new changes under new leadership.

Meantime, Talpa said the CEO position is not new to him because he was the CEO of the district from 2002 to 2007. He said from his wealth of experience, he would provide the best leadership to the people.

At the same event, the new MP for Tambul-Nebilyer and Vice Minister for Treasurer, Win Bakeri Daki, thanked the outgoing CEO for willingly vacating the office.

Daki pointed out that with the new CEO, he is confident that his administration would deliver according to the expectations of the people.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor Michael Mai and Provincial Administrator Joseph Neng, including senior public servants in the province and the district.

The event ended with the official signing of the instruments of the appointments by both incoming and outgoing CEOs and MP Daki to complete formalities.
