Member for Mapik, Gabriel Kapris said the increased K20 million District Services Improvement Programme (DSIP) funds will be put to good use to improve the much needed services in the district.
Mr Kapris said K100 million would have been spent on developmental programmes for the people of Maprik, including upgrading of the following feeder roads;
- Upgrade and seal Bonohoi Brugam feeder road
- Upgrade and sea Balif to Ilahita feeder road.
- Upgrade and seal Balaga to Mui feeder road.
- Upgrade and seal Balif to Bolumita, Albinama1 to Albinama 2 and Albinama 3, and onto Balif feeder ring road.
- Balif to Hingiambel feeder road.
- Upgrade and seal Amahup junction to Supari Bayanga /Butikga feeder road.
- Building a new feeder road Bayanga to Nilu Village.
- feeder road.
- Building a feeder road from Wamsok to Amom Village
- Upgrade and seal Ami junction to Ami primary school feeder road.
- Upgrade and seal Aupik junction to Bainyik feeder road.
