Lufa MP calls for transparent operations in district

Lufa MP Moriape Vereda Kavori has called on his newly sworn-in members of the District Development Authority to lead the people with honesty and integrity.

The lack of physical evidence of development in the district speaks volumes of the quality of leadership, he said, and all district officials entrusted to serve the people should share the blame.

“We must now provide a new pathway of leadership, which is based on the Holy Bible and serve our people with honesty, integrity and ensure transparency in all our operations.”

Kavori made the statement during the official swearing-in ceremony at Lufa station district Headquarters for the first time after 15 years.

The previous swearing-in of the DDA members were usually held outside of the district.

The DDA board comprises of MP Kavori as chairman, president of Yagaria LLG - John Fonoma, president of Unavi LLG - Mrs Famu Dick,  and board members Nama Hamanito and Stanley Akuri.
