PNG Women’s three on three basketball team outclassed the home side 15 points to 6 at the Korman indoor stadium this afternoon.
The PNG trio of Marca Muri, Rosa Kairi and Betty Angula outplayed the Vanuatu women with their strong defence.
Normalisa Dobunaba came off the bench to assist with play for the PNG women as they tried to contain their taller Vanuatu opponents.
PNG struggled in attack as baskets were not easy coming by and found themselves rebounding a lot more in the second half of the match.
The PNG trio eventually finished strongly with a win 15 points to 6 victory.
The 3 on 3 basketball match is five minutes each way and has six players pressing half court.
Three players make up one team with just one reserve allowed at any time on the court.
