One team in Milne Bay Province has completed polling, says election manager Dadu Daga.
Team five in Daga LLG is the first in the province to finish.
The team has packed its materials and is waiting to be airlifted back to the LLG headquarters.
There are 78 teams in total.
Milne Bay Province commenced polling on Saturday, despite bad weather and no police presence.
Election manager Daga reported a relatively good polling period so far.
He also confirmed a petition filed by candidates covering a number of issues, including ballot papers transported without police escort and names missing from the electoral roll.
"We met with all candidates yesterday and the issues have been clarified and addressed," he said.
Police personnel is already on ground.
