Incumbent MP for Nuku Open, Joe Sungi, has raced off the blocks after completion of counting yesterday.
Returning Officer Francis Yawalan told Loop PNG from Nuku Station this morning that counting for the Sandaun Province Open seat started on Monday, with only four boxes counted.

The four boxes opened and counted are from Maimai Wanwan LLG.
Yalawan said five boxes from Nuku Central LLG will be counted today.
Nuku Open has a total of 16 ballot boxes to be counted.
