WNB prepares to host PNG Games in November

The preparation of the 7th PNG Games is underway in the capital of West New Britain Province.

Contractor Nivani Limited have started late last year clearing areas selected for the games, which will be Kulungi, Kapore, Hoskins as satellite venues while the main stadium will be at Kimbe town.

Construction work on the ground at this time involves levelling, drainage, fencing and stadium construction.

The stadium will hold a capacity of 3500 people and is now the main focus of the contractor to complete.

Nivani Limited has 7 months to complete all works.

The heavy rains late last year and  beginning of this year, delayed progressive work but the contractor is adamant the stadium will be completed at the end of September.

The WNB Host Organising Committee is coordinating all preparation works and will officially open the PNG Games on November 26.
