Venue User Agreement signed for NFS

A Venue User Agreement was signed this afternoon between the Local Organising Committee and Oil Search to mark the kick-off of the Exclusive Use Period of the National Football Stadium (NFS) during the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

FIFA Vice President and President of the PNG Football Association (PNGFA), David Chung in signing the agreement thanked Oil Search for coming on board to assist and facilitate the use of the NFS.

“Today’s signing of this user agreement is agreeable by both parties who are very willing to make this World Cup a success in our country.

‘It is through the leadership of Peter Botten that has made this happen to make it affordable for the PNGFA and LOC to use this stadium to not only host the pool matches but also the semi-finals and final.

“This reflects that Oil Search do have corporate responsibility and contribute immensely to the country and share the benefits to the community through infrastructure building,” said Chung.

Oil Search Managing Director, Peter Botten said it was a privilege for Oil Search to support the World Cup.

“It’s a major event for PNG. I would like to express our thanks to the President and the LOC who are working extremely hard to deliver this event that will be seen by millions around the world.

“It’s a pleasure to have PNG on the world stage in terms of sports and business but especially for sports,” said Botten.
