Ryan Pini wins seventh gold

Super fish Ryan Pini has won gold in the 100m backstroke.

This is Pinis second gold for the night and seventh overall in this Pacific Games.

Pini broke his own record of 56.54 sec in a new time of 56.0 sec.

Pini was pleased after the race and said this is his last Games so his whole life has revolved around this moment.

He said this has been the most challenging preparation leading up to the Games.

Tahitis Teiki Dupont won silver after clocking in at 58.18 sec and Julien-Pierre won bronze clocking in at 58.81 sec.
