Police recruits graduate

Police recruits will be graduating today at Bomana Police College.

Bomana Police Commandant Perou N’Dranou told Loop PNG that initially there were 186 recruits.

This number has been trimmed down due to the stringent elimination and selection process.

These graduates have undergone three basic police training units.

N’Dranou would not confirm the number of recruits to pass out, explaining that until they take the field, all the recruits will still be scrutinised.

In a recent interview, N'Dranou said he was impressed by the training imparted.

Though rigorous, N'Dranou told Loop PNG that it is a testament to the changes that the college aims to instill from its trainers.

A special focus has been given to the training delivery while also embodying the changes and updates given to the curriculum.

The pass out today was at 10am at the Bomana training college.

The reviewing officer is the Commissioner of Police Gari Baki, while the parade host was Deputy Commissioner chief of administration Raphael Huafolo.

There will be presentation of prizes made to outstanding recruits for each squad and one to the overall dux of the intake.

Meanwhile, according to a brief by police media, there will also be a presentation made by the Bougainville Police Service to the RPNGC.
