A member of the Traffic Police was caught drinking whisky with a woman friend in a police traffic vehicle.
NCD’s Metropolitan Superintendent Andy Bawa posted on Facebook a picture of the officer holding bottles of coke and whisky in front of the police vehicle.
According to Bawa a member of the public alerted the police.
The two were stopped on the freeway and taken to Boroko police station where they were arrested and charged.
Bawa is encouraging members of the Port Moresby community to report any abuse or misuse of government property.
“I would to encourage members of the community to report such bad behaviours to appropriate authorities for action. With your help we can all make a difference in everyone being responsible and accountable,” Bawa says.
