Nature Park wins global excellence award

The Port Moresby Nature Park has become the first recreational attraction facility in the country to receive a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award.

The prestigious award celebrates excellence in tourism and hospitality and is given only to establishments all over the world that consistently achieve great reviews and uphold a high level professionalism.

In the past only a few hotels in PNG have been awarded a Certificate of Excellent, such as Madang Resort.

Speaking about the award, Nature Park’s General Manager, Michelle McGeorge said she was exceptionally proud to be the first Recreational Attraction in the country to receive this award as it recognised the hard work of all the staff over the last three years.

“There is no greater seal of approval than being recognised by your customers for providing a fantastic visitor experience,” said McGeorge.

McGeorge added that not only was the Nature Park a key community attraction and facility for school children but was making strong grounds for tourism.

“The Nature Park will also play tourist host as a confirmed venue during the 2015 Pacific Games with free access to athletes and officials during the event,” said McGeorge.
