Nature Park beefs up security with new fencing

The Port Moresby Nature Park will be fenced up with 200 metres of fencing as part of the Park’s continuous upgrades and improvements.

This is all thanks to the Silver Sponsorship support from Atlas Steel.

Branch Manager, Peter Brown said Atlas Steel is committed to supporting community organisation’s that contribute to the betterment of the city, and in the Nature Park’s case, the promotion of PNG’s flora and fauna.

“The Nature Park has achieved so much in terms of providing the community with safe and engaging recreational spaces, providing educational opportunities to school children and in undertaking wildlife breeding and conservation programs.

“So we were only too happy to assist,” said Brown.

General Manager of the Nature Park, Michelle McGeorge expressed her thanks to Atlas Steel saying the fencing will improve security of the park.

She noted that as a non-profitable organisation, the Nature Park was dependent on the generosity of the business community to continue to build the Park.

She finished by encouraging Port Moresby residents and school children to visit and support the Park.
