A late try from PNG's Willie Minoga helped Townsville Blackhawks take lead at half time 10-6 over SP PNG Hunters.
Minoga was taken off the bench 18 minutes to half time when the score was 6-4.
He scored a late try four minutes to half time to put his team in front, 10-6, after a successful conversion. The first 15 minutes was tough for both teams as they struggled to score.
Adam Korave made the breakthrough for Hunters, scoring 17 minutes into the game to put Hunters in front 6-0 after a successful conversion from captain Noel Zeming.
It was a physical game with hard tackles. Blackhawks fought hard and scored their first try 6-4 through Rhyse Martin seven minutes to half time.
Minoga's try was the second for Blackhawks, extending their score to lead 10-6 at half time.
