Marie Stopes office moved to Hohola

The once Marie Stopes PNG centre at Boroko has now been relocated to Hohola.

Marie Stopes PNG is the largest non-governmental organization that deals with family planning and reproductive health in the country for almost 10 years.

As of Monday  August 8, all family planning care and reproductive health consultations will be conducted at the new centre in Hohola.

Marie Stopes PNG Country Director Maarten van de Reep says MSPNG has been in operation in for seven years since 2009 at the Boroko centre.

“The relocation was need to cater for the number of clients that come in daily to receive family planning service and information and that the centre at Borko was becoming too small and less conducive to work in,”Reep says.

Reep says clients can now have a secured area, good environment to come in for service and consultation and service adding that the new centre at Hohola is now conducive and it is closer to the main bus stop, markets and shops.

He adds that due to the nature of the work of MSPNG, privacy and confidentiality is of importance and the new centre provides just that for the clients.

“We aim to give the best service to our clients and we hope that those who come for service will enjoy the new environment,” Reep says.

He says clients and partners who might have difficulties locating the new centre and need more information can call MSPNG toll free 1200 or check the Marie Stopes PNG Facebook page for more information to locate the Hohola centre.
