Kokofas run riot over Cats on grand final day

Oilmin Gordon Kokofas long wait for an AFL premiership title ended on the weekend as the lizards marched to their maiden title with a convincing win.

The 2016 Easiloan AFL Port Moresby minor premiers showed class running riot over the Bomana Cats defeating them by 27 points.

The Cats were left suffocated in the first and final quarters as the Gordon’s boys defence hold the AFL PNG Academy scoreless.            

The final score of the grand final match on Saturday was 6-6-42 and 2-3-25.

Kokofas captain Bena Michael led in front and was well assisted by veteran John Vincent, Una Yogomin and Neil Malabag.
