Debutants Mosin Fresh pool team win first up in Media Pool opener

The Peoples Noticeboard who are making their debut in the competition turned up to meet Education Media, but were given the game on a golden platter with a forfeit after the opposite team failed to show.

The Vitis Mosin Fresh People’s Noticeboard team captain, Raymond Evari was surprised but added that it was good to have early points since it was their debut into the competition.

“It is good to have this surprise win in this very tough media pool competition but it is just the beginning,” Evari said.

He also took the opportunity to thank the executive of the NGCB Media Pool Competition for accepting the Mosin Fresh Peoples Noticeboard pool team to be part of the competition.

“ I am glad and happy that the Media Pool executive has accepted us to become a member of this great competition. I especially thank the chairman Tony Sipa, Secretary Eric Kone, Treasurer Chris Haro, Business operations coordinator Colin Taimbari and game coordinators for including us and we will do our best to perform to the best of out talent,” Evari said.

Meanwhile, at the opening of season this morning at the Lamana Hotel at 11am, a total of 25 teams have registered.

Media Pool Tournament director, Ephraim Kara told Loop PNG that there would be a grace period for all teams with a deadline set.

“As of the latest we have 25 teams registered, however there is a grace period of three weeks in which time all teams must get their teams in order.”

Kara who is taking on the directors’ role for the second year running called on all team to meet the June 28^th deadline for all registrations to be completed.

“Each team must pay a registration of K1, 500 by June 25 and by June 28 all registration will be complete,” Kara said.

He added that this year, all team captains would be given one free Media Pool Rule Book while whose who wanted a copy would have to buy it for K10.
