Ben Wainetti to receive music award named after Justin Kili

The awards night is scheduled for April 30 at Lamana Gold Club in Port Moresby.

The lifetime achievement award is named after music guru, the Late Justin Hansu Kili, who in his lifetime has taken the music scene to new heights in his efforts in promoting the local music industry.

The Justin Hansu Kili Awards was created to recognise local musicians who have gone above and beyond to promote the local contemporary taste of music.

Wainetti, who comes from Mawata in Western, was the front man of TMC band (Tamate Memorial Church singers) of Daru.

Basil Greg to be inducted into Hall of Fame at music awards

The Awards night is scheduled on April 30 at Lamana Gold Club.

The Hall of Fame Award is specifically tailored towards well-known artists who have supported young and old artists to better themselves in the style of music of their choice.

Basil Greg is one of the most popular recording artists in PNG.

Beginning his career with the famous Hollie Maea, Greg left the band in the early 90s to focus on a solo career and succeeded beyond his expectations.
