Digicel Cup goes into round 9

The double header in Mendi will first see the Kemele Hela Wigmen take on the visiting PRK Gulf Ispaea at 12pm.

This will be followed by the clash between the PRK Mendi Muruks and the undefeated Lae Snax Tigers. This game kicks off at 2pm.

In Wabag, the Enga Mioks play host to the Wamp Nga Mt Hagen Eagles.

Across to Minj, the Waghi Tumbe will go up against the city boys in the SNS Port Moresby Vipers.

The two games also start at 2pm.

Hunters name 18-man squad for Kokoda Cup

A physical encounter is expected for the ANZAC Day match that will take place next Monday at 3.30pm at Pizzey Park in Brisbane, Australia.

Hunters coach, Michael Marum has made a number of changes with Adex Wera being moved into the centres after captain Noel Zeming was ruled out due to injury.

This has made way for Stargroth Amean to return to the fullback position while Ase Boas replaces brother Watson at five-eighth to partner Atte Bina in the halves.

Also back in the side is Tuvi Lepan who missed last week’s game due to a concussion.

TNSL completes round 9

In the Southern Conference, Rapatona FC drew 1-1 with Huawei PS United FC.

The game straight after saw another 1-1 scoreline in the Gigira Laitepo United FC and Erema Gulf FC encounter.

Sunday afternoon's game between Hekari United FC and Port Moresby FC went to Hekari 2-1.

Across to the Northern Conference, Admiralty FC thrashed Goroka Gosiha 4-1.

 Lae City Dwellers FC also did it easy beating Besta PNG United 3-0 while Welgris Morobe United defeated Madang FC 2-0.
