This has prompted an immediate investigation into the issue.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Peter Guinness, says they will get to the bottom of how the Asian was released.
“I want a thorough investigation into this incident and if police were deliberately involved in facilitating the release, disciplinary action will be taken against them," Guinness said.
He said he is already fed up with police negligence and their unethical behaviours.
