The 2017 PNG National Rugby League (PNG NRL) Competition will kick off on the weekend of April 22-23.
Newly appointed Chairman of the PNG NRL, Adrian Chow announced this yesterday at a press conference in Port Moresby.
“We will be sending out the application to participate in the new competition to the franchise teams.
“These will be completed by next week Friday. Thereafter, our executive board will assess the applications and those successful will be signing a formal participation agreement
“The season launch will be on April 19,” said Chow.
Chow finished by thanking major sponsors Digicel PNG and SP Brewery who have supported the new restructuring of the competition.
