Celebrate wisely this NY

Police will be out in full force to police the nation’s capital tonight as the city welcomes the New Year in festivities and fireworks.

Motorists are warned not to break traffic rules and are urged to stop for vehicle checks at designated road blocks that will be conducted by on duty police personnel at night.

Police discourage the habit of drinking and anyone found or caught in the act will be charged and arrested.

Festivities are to be celebrated indoors for safety reason and parents are being urged not to indulge too much and keep tabs of their children during the celebration to avoid incidents of sexual assaults and reports.

Any display of fireworks should not be conducted without a license; especially for residential areas.

Over a thousand police members will be out and about patrolling, therefore the general public is warned to refrain from doing illegal activities as police will come down hard on anyone caught breaking the rule of law.
