Show expects over 300 tourists

It has been estimated that more than 300 tourists will attend the Mt Hagen Cultural Show this year.

Tourists are expected from Europe, The United States, Asia and the Pacific.

Director of Trans Niugini Tours, Pauline Grove, said even though there have been a lot of negative publicity on the election-related law and order problems, tourists have shown interest in still coming over.

The Mt Hagen Cultural Show will be on again this year from the 19th to 20th of this month.

Western Highlands Provincial Administration’s executive manager for commerce, culture and tourism, James Wakapu, said despite the negative repercussions of the recent elections, the annual event will still be staged.

The show is less than two weeks away, and will run for two days.
