The only three candidates who have served the people of Maprik Open in East Sepik since Independence have made up the top three after completion of primary counts in the 2017 National Election.
The table shows the progressive results after count 30 yesterday.

Counting officials will go through quality checks today to balance the 22 candidates tally with the total votes counted, and also proof check for any counting discrepancy.
Simon is the current MP who unseated Kapris in the 2012 National Elections, after he served the district for two terms.
Sir Pita was Kapris’ predecessor.
