Park thanks NCD community

The management of Port Moresby Nature Park has thanked sponsors and the community for their support over the year.

Reflecting on the achievements made this year, General Manager, Michelle McGeorge said this included building the country’s best play areas, new animal exhibits, infrastructure upgrades as well as its role as the 2015 Pacific Games official tourism partner.

“This year the Nature Park continued to break records with more than 120,000 people visiting the Park.

“This included 15,000 students participating in our school excursion programs and more than 4,000 tour-group tourists,” said McGeorge.

McGeorge pointed out that the successes of the Park would not be possible without the funding support of NCDC and sponsors support, the community and the dedication of the Park’s staff.

She thanked all those who have believed in the Park saying Port Moresby is a better place for having a world-class facility that was available to all.

“As a way to say thanks, the Nature Park will remain open every day over the Christmas public holiday period,” said McGeorge.
