NAC Board challenged to address staff welfare

The newly appointed National Executive Board (NAC) have been challenged to address issues affecting staff welfare including staff salary, accommodation and future benefits.

Minister for Minister for Civil Aviation Davis Steven says he is passionate about making sure that NAC becomes an employer of choice.

Steven said staff welfare is vital in the daily operations of the organisation.

He said NAC must become an employer that is proud to say that its staff from the top to the bottom is happy to be part of this organisation.

Steven also challenged the board to look into establishing and improving rural airstrips to connect the disconnected communities.

“I’m happy to say that NAC is one of the state owned enterprises that been targeted to trial the Community Service Obligation policy.

“I want NAC to embrace these challenges that the Government is putting out in terms of our desire to move this country forward.

“Whilst these challenges are many, we all know that the organisation can only respond as best as it can in terms of its capacity where resources are present,” Steven said.

Steven said there have been a lot of positive achievements and urged the board to look at those and preserve as much as they can and to add value to initiatives that are positive.
