Hunters to improve on simple errors

The SP PNG Hunters will again work to improve on simple errors, including ball handling, leading up to this weekend’s game against Norths Devils in Round 7 of the Intrust Super Cup.

Hunters Coach Michael Marum said following the narrow win against Townsville Blackhawks 11-10, they got a lot of positives out of the game.

Marum said a lot of simple mistakes resulted in the tough encounter and close win and they’ll need to polish up on these areas before the third home game this Saturday.

He said the game against eighth-placed Devils will be tough as they’re also a quality side.

“Devils have some Brisbane Broncos players in the team so we can’t turn up like how we played against Blackhawks in the second half and think we’ll win the game.

“We’ve got a lot of things to polish up on before this game and we are expecting changes to the lineup as well,” Marum said.

The match will kick off at 6.30pm at the National Football Stadium and will be telecast live on TVWAN Sports HD.
