Filipino businesses here for opportunities

The Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCCI) will have an audience with the Treasury Minister Patrick Pruaitch tomorrow.

PCCCI chairman Wong Cheung Cha is leading 32 business people to PNG in search of business opportunities.

The delegation flew in from the Philippines today.

The tentative program states that the briefing with the treasury minister will include other key government agencies like the Bank of PNG, PNG Customs, Internal Revenue Commission, National Fisheries Authority, and the Department of Agriculture who directly play a part in trade and investment in the country.

The program also includes a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador, Chinese-PNG Friendship Association and PNG Chinese Chamber of Commerce.

On Tuesday, a PCCCI delegation will have an audience with Prime Minister Peter O’Neill.

The investors will depart PNG on January 21.
