Australian reggae dancehall group Jamrock to tour PNG

Reggae fans in Port Moresby and Lae will get a chance to witness a new style of Reggae mixed with dancehall and Afro beats when Jamrock visits Papua New Guinea.

The group of five members, DJ Moto, DJ Joe, Lisa Viola, Laura and DJ Rasta, is Sydney's longest running and most successful Reggae, Dancehall and Afro Beats.

They’re known to perform the freshest Jamaican music including Roots Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop, R&B and Afro Beats.

For the first time in PNG, Jamrock will bring their DJs, dancers, and singer to throw down a three hour party which is not to be missed.

DJ Joe of Tonga is Australia’s most wanted dancehall, reggae and Afro beats selecta.

DJ Moto of Japan is Australia’s number one Hip Hop & RnB DJ who has supported artists including Chris Brown, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Sean Paul and UB40.

Roots reggae selecta DJ Rasta has international experience playing at festivals and venues around the world.

Professional Jamaican dancehall dancer Laura Stephenson has toured in North America, Asia and Australia, capturing audiences with her high energy dance moves.

Afro Urban singer songwriter Lisa Viola from Angola  has been busy making her mark both in Australia and internationally.

The Angolan born mixed race beauty burst onto the independent music scene with her debut single ‘Bounce Wid It’ which features Jamaican dancehall veteran REDFOX.

Viola said in a video that they’re excited and ready to rock Lae and Moresby.

“Hope you are ready to jam rock PNG. We hope to see you in Lae and Moresby as we will be bringing to you everything that is dancehall, Afro beat and all the good stuff,” she said.

Jamrock will be performing in Lae at the Dragons Club on October 23 with tickets selling at K75 at the gate and K50 members.

The group will travel to Moresby to perform at the Lamana Gold Club the next day October 24 with tickets selling at K50 arena and K75 balcony.
