Rice donated to charities

Goodman Fielder and the India Association of PNG assisted four charitable organisations on Wednesday, 18 April, with a generous donation of two tons of Skel Rice.

The IAPNG President, Omprakash Seshadri, commented: “I would like to thank Goodman Fielder for their generous contribution of two tons of Skel Rice for us to distribute to the charities of our choice.

“As part of the PNG community we like to ensure that our donations go to the best possible charitable organisations. We also like to ensure that our donations are of the highest value and quality, which is why we chose Skel Rice for this donation.”

The purpose of the India Association of PNG (IAPNG) is to foster friendship between PNG and Indian communities by raising funds and donations for charitable activities. They have been working for over 30 years towards these objectives, with over K1 million donated to various charities in the last five years.

PNG Child care, Sisters of Charity, PNG Children Foundation and Cheshire disAbility Services PNG were the grateful recipients of the donation.

Cheshire disAbility Services PNG is one of the leading, implementing NGO and charitable organisation in PNG, providing interventions which increase adequate access to health and rehabilitation, education, livelihoods and social development for persons with disabilities.

Skel Rice is from Goodman Fielder, the makers of the iconic Flame Flour.
