UPNG Celebrates 61st Graduation

Students from the School of Business Administration will be graduating with Post-Graduate and Masters Degrees.

Also very important is that the University of Papua New Guinea will be celebrating their Golden Jubilee.

The graduation ceremony starts at 9:00am with hundreds expected to turn up to be part of this great annual event.  

VC: UPNG infrastructure a time bomb

It is like a bomb that is ticking and if nothing is done, more incidents like the fire last night will occur.

Vice chancellor Professor Albert Mellam, in issuing the warning today, said the university has been using the “band aid” approach of maintenance over the years with no infrastructure grants given to the institution since he took office.

Police boss praises Uniforce training

Deputy Commissioner Andrews said this on Thursday during the graduation ceremony for the security guards attached with the University's Uniforce.

The guards completed a Security Training Level 2 Course conducted by OSS-Orogen Ltd.

Andrews said: "You have realised the importance of training and the need to raise the level of professionalism and ethical standards within the industry.

He told the guards that they provide a very critical service in crime prevention and that their contribution is appreciated.
