Maru boosts power for Yangoru

DDA Chairman and Minister for Trade, Commerce and Industry Richard Maru when presenting the cheque said the district has invested K3 million on PNG Power Limited's power grid extension work under PPL's rural electrification program.

"This investment is in addition to the power gridline extension from Passam to the township of Yangoru, where Wreak sells power all the way to Winge 2 which is only 15 minutes’ drive out of Maprik," says Maru.

"We have been improving and widening PPL's customer base at our cost and we are still at it.

Maru sees education as a priority

To make this happen Maru  is embarking to build proper education infrastructure to help achieve a higher performance and results for children in his electorate.
