Traditional Food

Waigani Primary showcase traditional food show

As per their assessment, the grade six students filled at least 2 stalls with food from all four regions of the country.
Among the favourites were creamed sago and crocodile meat from Sepik, Aigir from East New Britain, Highlands Mumu, Pariva (sago mixed with banana) and fish from Central.
The food was not only for display, they were in fact hot sales items.
Senior grade six teacher  Bella Pipingan said the students were divided into four regional groups to sell each of their local food.
They will then be assessed accordingly.
