Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce CEO, David Conn, tells Loop PNG that one element they are looking at is how other provinces could feed the predicted growth of the capital city.

He said our closest neighbours have developed on the back of such industries and investing in PNG could also develop our own as well as lessen our dependence on imports.

Speaking at the launching of the Port Moresby International Business Summit, which will be held in August, Conn said PNG has been through such situations and eventually comes out on top.

This year’s summit has fostered the slogan ‘Port Moresby: Future City’, which aims to entice investors to Port Moresby’s future growth.

Conn said they want to open the conversation to investors, highlighting the growth of Port Moresby over the last few years as well as the potential growth.
